Sarule is a town of 1600 inhabitants in the Nuoro area.
A town within the culture of pastoralism that has kept many of its traditions, such as the Sarule fashion of canto a Tenore.
The cantu a sa sarulesa has guttural voices and performs mainly profane songs such as sa boche sèria, sos ballos a tenore and sos mutos.
